Beloit College, a Wisconsin-based liberal arts college recognized for its curricular innovation, today proudly announces it has named Leslie Davidson as its new vice president for enrollment management. Davidson will begin the new role in July and comes with more than two decades of experience in higher education, which includes 15 years overseeing enrollment.
As an active member of the college’s leadership team, Davidson will lead the charge in admissions as well as provide strategic oversight of financial aid strategy surrounding prospective and continuing students. Davison will also work closely with colleagues across numerous departments, including communications and marketing, finance and planning, development and alumni, and more.
“Leslie’s expertise and successful track records in both enrollment management and student affairs makes her the ideal person for this position,” said Scott Bierman, president of Beloit College. “We look forward to working with her to further our strategic goals.”
Since 1993, Davidson has held multiple positions at Bard College at Simon’s Rock where she currently serves as the chief strategy and innovation officer. Prior to that, she spent a decade as the dean of the college where she focused on increasing strategic alignment between enrollment, marketing, communications and development. This was preceded by five years as the dean of admissions and student affairs.
"In my exploration of Beloit, I was impressed by the degree of student engagement with faculty, its instinct for curricular innovation and long history with combining the liberal arts and practice.” said Davidson. “I have strong convictions about what undergraduate education should be, which Beloit clearly shares. I’m excited to collaborate with a terrific team to attract an outstanding group of students from around the country and world."
Davidson received a bachelor’s degree from Denison University and a masters of education in administration, planning and social policy from Harvard University. Davidson is also working toward a masters of business administration from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts.
