StudySync’s gradebook and standards search features provide teachers with enhanced
views of student performance as well as coverage and mastery of specific standards
NEW YORK (Sept. 19, 2017) – StudySync, powered by BookheadEd Learning, LLC, has two new additions in its vast array of teacher tools. A standards search tool and an embedded gradebook will increase teachers’ capacity to manage and tailor instruction with StudySync’s comprehensive ELA/ELL (English Language Arts/English Language Learner) program for grades 6-12. Both tools are now available for the 2017-18 school year.
“These resources are significant to teachers, providing more information on assignments and student achievement,” said Co-Founder and CEO of StudySync, Robert Romano. “This information will help inform teachers as they make decisions about future lessons and remediation.”
The embedded gradebook provides an easy-to-view format for analyzing how students are doing on assignments. Users can filter gradebook entries by assignment type and time period, and they can view student grades by classes, groups or individuals. Teachers can find the gradebook in the options menu in StudySync’s users and groups sections.
The enhanced StudySync search tool now makes it even easier for teachers to search the library of StudySync’s lessons for specific standards. In addition, teachers can use the tool to view how often a standard was covered by assignments as well as individual student mastery of the standard.
“Empowering teachers by providing a faster, simpler way to find lessons that cover specific standards and increasing their ability to understand their students’ needs means that they will be even more effective going forward,” said Romano. “They can plan better to facilitate students’ strengths and address student needs, and the better they can plan, the more engaged and successful students will be.”
