Whether higher ed CIOs use iPhones, Android phones, iPads or Galaxy tablets, chances are that mobile devices play a significant role in their day-to-day work at colleges and universities.
As a part of Education Dive's 2013 "Mobility in Higher Education" survey, we wanted to know how frequently institutions are supplying their technology heads with mobile tech for their jobs.
The 50 higher ed CIOs that we questioned offered some good news. A clear majority (62%) replied "Yes" when asked if their organizations provided them with a smartphone or tablet. A sizable 38% of them, however, answered "No."
