- The five schools with the largest overall number of reported sex offenses are SUNY at Stony Brook with 37, Rochester Institute of Technology with 33, Vassar College at 29, the University of Rochester at 28, and Syracuse University with 27.

These figures, based on the latest data available from Clery Act reporting, come with the somewhat obvious caveat that some schools will have lower numbers because they aren’t doing a good job of collecting the information. Also, the figures count reported incidents, not arrests or convictions. Forcible sex offenses include rape, sodomy, fondling, and sexual assault with an object.
