• A news survey shows that 81% of the higher education information technology chiefs polled say faculty development is their No. 1 priority, but only 28% believe their existing training for faculty is excellent.

One finding from the survey that may make higher ed administrators uncomfortable, considering the current discussions over proposed federal legislation on providing access to technology for students with disabilities. Only 49% of the CIOs surveyed said they have a strategic plan for providing access to students with disabilities, and 81% said their IT support for students with disabilities is less than excellent.
