The report from Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education attributes the community and technical college enrollment decline to an improving economy, with more two-year-college students heading back to the work force. The council also reported that a greater percentage of Kentucky students are getting their degrees: 25,511 in 2013, up 31.1% from 2003. At the University of Louisville, the number of degrees rose 31.8% over the 10-year period, compared to a 24% increase at the University of Kentucky.
