Dive Insight:
The relationship between the school and the LMS provider went downhill after Learning Technology Partners charged the university more than $1 million in fees for unauthorized use of the LMS. The university had eventually agreed, in 2014, to pay a flat fee of $24 for each student on the system, after previously paying $12 per student for limited access. The company said it had “severe” issues with the LMS usage and capacity starting in 2011, and the two sides disagreed on whether it was entitled to assess additional fees.
