Frostburg State University in Western Maryland was one of the 55 colleges and universities listed as being under investigation for its handling of sexual abuse complaints under Title IX. Each university in the system must develop its own policy by Dec. 31 and the policies may vary slightly. The system currently has two sexual misconduct policies that will be replaced by the new one: one on sexual harassment from 1992, and one on sexual assault, from 1995.
