-
Rounding out the top 10 are criminal justice and corrections, accounting, liberal arts and sciences, English, and history.
-
Not surprisingly, at midcareer, the highest-paid graduates with bachelor’s degrees from the majors on the top 10 list come from accounting, at an average of $75,100 per year, according to data USA Today gathered from PayScale.
Dive Insight:
Nursing has the highest average starting salary: $53,300. Salary information isn’t available for teacher education, but for the related education major, starting average annual salary for grads is $33,800 — lower than any other major on the list. Obviously, the majority of the most popular majors are broad enough to allow graduates to pursue quite a range of careers.
