- Police said they arrested the man, who was not identified, about three hours later, after he fled the campus.

Fortunately — or maybe unfortunately — in today’s world, police agencies and college students have become well trained in how to respond to campus shooting incidents and other emergencies. As of early Thursday, it was not known whether the man or woman in the dispute were Kent State students. During the lockdown, two buildings were evacuated room by room.
