• Four for-profit college companies have all recently disclosed that they are the target of investigations by state attorneys general.
• Career Education Corp., Corinthian Colleges, Education Management Corp., and ITT Tech each said it was being investigated by a dozen states.
• The attorney general of Kentucky is taking the lead in looking into issues such as cost, loans,  placement results, and graduation rates.
