- President Barack Obama will return to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point on May 28 to deliver his second commencement address there.
- Also on the Presidential commencement calendar this year: Worcester Technical High School in Worcester, Mass., on June 11 and the University of California, Irvine, on June 14.
- Obama also gave the West Point commencement speech in 2010. Last year, the graduating cadets got Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel.

Who has the task of writing presidential commencement speeches, and do all of the speeches have to be unique? More than 1,000 West Point cadets are expected to graduate. Last year, Obama gave commencement addresses at the U.S. Naval Academy, Morehouse College, and Ohio State University. In 2012, he spoke to graduating classes at the U.S. Air Force Academy, Barnard College in Manhattan, and Joplin High School in Joplin, Mo.
